Calgary

We viewed some beautiful countryside on our swift weekend roadtrip to Calgary a week ago. We had not seen Mark & Roel since they visited us in December. They have experienced several months of travel to countries such as Australia, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc. It was intriguing to see some of their photos from their large collection of great pictures.
We also met their new labradoodle, a gentle spirit who allows his playful puppy mode to take over when taken out. They are taking the training seriously and Sunny listens well (until left alone when he becomes devious).
We took the Sunday to slip out to Banff and ended up hiking up Sulfur Mountain. It started innocently enough, intention being to hike a bit and then take the gondola up. After about 15 minutes following the trail we figured what can be so difficult. I found out the last 20 minutes climb, when I got winded and had to make very frequent stops to catch my breath! We did it in the basic 2 hours though. What breathtaking views (no, that was not what winded me). It puts me in awe of creation.
We are back to work, me at the Mission and Larry doing a small carpentry project.
Gotta earn more so we can fund these jaunts!
